On the ridge of a hill, a large garden was born from the happy union of a patron with a passion for gardens and a place fit to become one. A sequence of green spaces: fruit trees and olive trees between stone paths and small escarpments, the vegetable garden, the flat garden between the residence and the pool, spaces usable in different ways but linked by a common syntax. A profusion of aromatic plants and Mediterranean-type evergreens envelop the surfaces, forming dense patches: scents, scalar blooms, and muted colors are the dominant motif of the arrangement; to economize on water, the lawn has been kept to a minimum. Pathways and seating areas permeate the whole; the materials used, such as stone, wood, gravel, and brick, reinforce the atmosphere: a measured mix of refined simplicity.
