In this small space, a garden of “cut flowers” was born. The beds, raised simply with tuff laid dry, host herbaceous perennials, bulbous plants, small-fruited strawberries, and various aromatic herbs useful in cooking.
On the pergola, made of chestnut poles, rest roses in soft colors and delicate fragrance, overall a “secret” garden with a medieval flavor. It is pleasant to stroll or pause to meditate, get lost among the flower beds to discover the blooms or follow the flight of butterflies. The rich blooms that occur throughout the year give cutting flowers for bouquets and arrangements that can fully meet the needs of the adjacent small church.
