Design Studio

The inspection is an opportunity to:

grasping your wishes and needs (accesses, viability, swimming pool or other sports facilities, parking areas, vegetable garden, tool shelter …)
understand the complexities of the site (orientation, wind exposure, soil course and type, existing plant types, water availability …)
view the context in which the green space fits (panoramic views to be enhanced or views to be screened, dwelling style …)
study the area of intervention by means of a detailed plano-altimetric survey (can be provided directly by you, or carried out by our collaborators)
Agree on the terms of the assignment (fee, performance and delivery time)

Information and documents collected at this stage will form the basis for drafting the outline project.

The outline project, will provide you with all the useful information through which you can grasp the structure and ideas in its salient features. The graphic works produced will be of different types:

floor plans, for an overall view of the project in which areas are defined according to their function (road system, driveway and pedestrian, planting scheme, parking areas, pergolas or other structures, vegetable garden ...)
overview views, freehand sketches or virtual simulations (perspective or axonometric) of significant views will give you a sense of style and form of the project.

Executive project
After a direct discussion of what emerged in the preliminary phase, even evaluating several solutions in order to identify the one that best meets your needs, we will move on to the final drafting of the executive graphic designs. Tables, floor plans in various scales, detail drawings, will cover:

any earthmoving and construction works such as walls, stairs, parking areas, paving, pergolas ...
arrangement of greenery with indication of the chosen genus, species, cultivar, most suitable nursery type, number of plants to be planted
plant schemes (irrigation, lighting ...)
type of furniture elements
detailed metric calculation
Specifications for contractors prescribing materials and methods
estimated metric calculation, concludes the project and provides you with an estimate of the cost of making your green area.

Construction and construction management

The life of a garden depends on the professionalism and care with which it is carried out. If you do not know who to turn to, we can also best advise you in the choice of material and labor supply companies. We collaborate with nurseries, both local and non-local, installers, architectural material suppliers, and, depending on design needs, with other professionals. Careful selection of contractors, made through the many jobs we have done, allows us to give you a finished, complete and stable job over time, avoiding laborious and costly redoing.

Having approved the design intervention, Studio Giordani will be concerned with:

Choose plants of the best types in nurseries
Arrange for the work necessary to prepare the land (earth moving, leveling, tilling, etc.), to lay the plants, to build any masonry and architectural works such as pergolas, gazebos, paths, walls, swimming pool and whatever else is necessary for the enjoyment of your garden
organizing gardeners for planting
Follow up the final stages of the intervention by taking care of the finishing touches
Provide basic instructions for future garden maintenance by instructing your gardeners or establishing each operation in consultation with an outside maintenance team
Accompany the life of the garden through periodic visits to be determined as needed.

Decorating nature

Walls, driveways and paths define the spaces and form the textures. Studio Giordani proposes solutions calibrated to your needs, choosing from a wide range of materials, from simple and natural ones such as sand, stabilized earth or gravel, to more refined ones such as pebbles, stone, terracotta or wood, capable of fitting naturally into green spaces and consistently combining the exterior with the interior of the home.

Moving in the green

A room in the open air

Creating an intimate and welcoming space is essential for sitting, dining or conversation. It is our care to furnish it with tables and chairs, benches or soft cushions, details that can transform every corner into a pleasant place to relax or gather. A shading system may be needed to filter sunlight: gazebos, pergolas, pergolas, tents or sails, elegantly decorate, mark the style of the garden, and provide year-round comfort.

Vases, containers, decorative objects

They should not be considered in isolation but as parts of a whole. Small or large, colorful or not, different materials and shapes, what matters is arranging them artfully. Light in the green

Light is an indispensable element and fundamental tool in designing in the green. Dictated both by practical reasons, to illuminate passageways and resting places, and by aesthetic requirements, to enhance elements and details, the choice of light fixtures must be careful and reflect the style of the composition. Points of light, with essential or traditional lines, are carefully placed by us so as to create unique and striking atmospheres that arouse emotions.
